Let’s be honest, there are a lot of things we tell ourselves that are not true. We twist, manipulate, defend, and accept at face value what we know in our hearts and minds are lies. Maybe we think accepting a lie will make us feel better, will protect someone else, or won’t cause someone to feel offended. The reality is, ordinary lies are a problem for all of us. They hold us back from running after Jesus at the level He calls us to. Lies like, I don’t have time, I’m not intelligent enough, I’m not worth anything, no one loves me…the list could go on.
