Invite with Persistence

Invite with Persistence

Sometimes the most powerful moments come not from a single invitation, but from the choice to invite with persistence. When it comes to reaching those who are far from God, we cannot give up after one unanswered text or one awkward conversation. In the message “It’s Your Move,” Pastor Alex reminded us that someone is always one invite away from transformation.

Why We Invite with Persistence

Paul writes in 2 Timothy 1:12 (NLT), “I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust.” Trust in Christ is what keeps us moving forward. When we are persistent and consistent in our invitations, we refuse to let fear or rejection stop us. We trust that God is working, even when we don’t see immediate results.

Invite with Persistence Breaks Through Rejection

Rejection hurts. But it’s not the end. Jesus tells us in Luke 14:23 (NLT), “Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come.” To invite with persistence is to keep asking, keep loving, and keep hoping for the breakthrough.

Faith-Filled Invitations Matter

Romans 10:14 (NLT) challenges us: “How can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him?” When we invite with persistence, we help people hear about the One who saves. It’s not about convincing—it’s about consistently showing up and pointing them to Jesus.

Jesus Didn’t Quit—Neither Should We

2 Timothy 1:14 (NLT) tells us to guard the truth with the help of the Holy Spirit. When we are persistent and consistent in our invitations, we walk in step with God’s Spirit, trusting Him to break through hearts in His timing.
